The project involved the construction of a specialist healthcare facility incorporating radiology treatment areas, multiple consulting and procedure rooms, sterilisation facilities, accessible amenities, staff workspaces, reception and waiting areas, and supporting clinical infrastructure.
A key aspect of the works was the integration of specialised healthcare services, including X-ray infrastructure, nurse call systems, mechanical services, hydraulic services, communications systems, and dedicated power requirements for diagnostic equipment. The project also included lead-lined construction elements, custom joinery, glazing, acoustic treatments, floor finish upgrades, and detailed coordination of building services to support healthcare operations.
Working in an existing building, the team managed demolition, service modifications, raised floor construction within the radiology zone, accessibility upgrades, and the installation of healthcare-grade finishes and fixtures. Close collaboration with consultants, equipment suppliers, stakeholders and neighbouring tenants ensured compliance with healthcare standards while maintaining quality, safety and programme objectives throughout construction.
The completed facility provides Imaging Associates with a contemporary, purpose-built diagnostic and dental healthcare environment that enhances patient experience, supports clinicians with modern technology and workflow efficiencies, and delivers high-quality healthcare services to the Camberwell community.
