Specialists in live hospital refurbishments, medical fit outs and complex healthcare construction in Victoria

For more than two decades, DNA Construction has delivered complex healthcare and live-environment construction projects across Victoria.

Based in Melbourne, we specialise in healthcare refurbishment, medical fit outs, operating theatres, radiology, cath labs, and occupied  facility upgrades — delivering projects in environments where safety, continuity and stakeholder coordination are critical.

Our team understands the realities of working within operational healthcare facilities. We plan and stage projects to minimise disruption to patients, staff and clinical services while maintaining strict standards for infection control, safety, compliance and operational continuity.

From hospital refurbishments and imaging suites to specialist clinical environments and staged upgrades, DNA Construction is trusted by healthcare providers, consultants and project managers to deliver technically demanding projects with precision and care.

Live Environment Specialists

Healthcare construction requires more than construction capability. It requires an understanding of:

  • infection-sensitive environments
  • live operational constraints
  • clinical stakeholder management
  • shutdown coordination
  • staging and decanting
  • noise and dust control
  • medical equipment integration
  • strict compliance and safety procedures

Our experience across operating healthcare facilities allows us to deliver complex works while maintaining continuity for patients, clinicians and ward operations.

We understand that every healthcare project impacts people directly — and we approach every project with the planning, communication and accountability that these environments demand.

Healthcare Construction Capability

DNA Construction delivers a broad range of healthcare and clinical projects throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria, including:

  • Operating theatres
  • Day surgery facilities
  • Cath labs
  • Radiology and MRI suites
  • IVF and specialist clinics
  • Hospital ward refurbishments
  • Medical fit outs
  • Short-stay units
  • Healthcare facility upgrades

Trusted
Across
Victoria

Over the years, DNA Construction has built long-term relationships with healthcare providers and consultants through consistent delivery, transparent communication and reliable project outcomes.

Many of our projects are completed within live environments where careful staging, stakeholder coordination and infection control procedures are essential to project success.

Our clients value our ability to:

  • manage complex live-site conditions
  • maintain operational continuity
  • communicate clearly with stakeholders
  • coordinate around sensitive clinical operations
  • deliver high-quality outcomes within active facilities

Every healthcare project begins with detailed planning.

We work collaboratively with project stakeholders to understand operational requirements, staging constraints, clinical risks and program priorities before construction begins.

This proactive approach allows us to:

  • reduce disruption to hospital operations
  • maintain safe environments for patients and staff
  • manage shutdowns effectively
  • coordinate critical services and infrastructure
  • deliver projects with certainty and control

We understand that healthcare environments cannot simply “stop operating” during construction — and our methodology reflects that reality.

Our
Approach

At DNA Construction, we believe successful projects are built on trust, communication and accountability.

Our focus is not simply on completing construction works, but on becoming a reliable long-term delivery partner for healthcare providers, consultants and project teams throughout Victoria.
