The works encompassed full demolition and strip-out of existing internal elements, followed by the coordinated delivery of new architectural, structural, and services upgrades. This included reconfiguration of internal layouts, installation of new partitions, ceilings, and joinery, as well as the integration of upgraded building systems to support modern clinical operations.
A major focus of the project was the delivery of high-quality internal finishes suited to a specialist healthcare setting. This included plasterboard and rendered wall systems, ceramic tiling, resilient flooring, acoustic ceiling solutions, and custom joinery. Materials and finishes were selected to meet the durability, hygiene, and maintainability requirements of a clinical environment, while also achieving a refined and welcoming aesthetic for patients and staff.
The façade and building envelope were enhanced through the installation of new glazing systems, aluminium windows, and entrance assemblies, improving both natural light penetration and overall building performance. Internal glazing, mirrors, and splashbacks were also incorporated to support functionality within treatment and consultation areas.
The project required extensive coordination of building services, including electrical, communications, fire protection, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. These were fully integrated within the refurbished structure to ensure compliance with current standards and to support the operational needs of consult rooms, treatment areas, and support spaces.
Waterproofing and wet area construction formed a critical component of the works, with specialised membrane systems installed to bathrooms, treatment areas, and external elements. These systems were delivered alongside strict compliance and performance testing to ensure long-term reliability.
Quality assurance and workmanship standards were central to the project delivery, with all trades required to operate in accordance with relevant Australian Standards, supported by prototype installations and staged inspections. This approach ensured consistency across finishes and reduced the need for rework.
