John Crane Sunshine West Warehouse Expansion

Design and construct idustrial facility expansion and fitout for increased operational capacity while integrating seamlessly with the existing building and services.

The works comprised comprehensive site preparation including excavation, earthworks, and the installation of new underground services such as stormwater drainage, sewer, and water distribution systems. New concrete pavements, slabs, and structural foundations were constructed to support the expanded facility and accommodate heavy-duty industrial use.

The building extension incorporated a structural steel framework and large-scale tilt-up concrete wall panels, providing a robust and durable structure suited to manufacturing and warehouse operations. Roofing, cladding, and glazing systems were installed to deliver a weatherproof, high-performance building envelope aligned with industrial standards.

Internal works included the installation of metal framing, carpentry elements, joinery, and essential building components such as doors, access systems, and safety features. Finishes were selected for durability and functionality, ensuring the space supports ongoing operational demands with minimal maintenance requirements.

Extensive coordination of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fire protection services formed a critical component of the project. These systems were integrated into both the new and existing structures, ensuring continuity of operations and compliance with all relevant Australian Standards and regulatory requirements.

Delivered within an active industrial environment, the project required careful staging, planning, and safety management to minimise disruption to ongoing factory operations. Strict quality assurance processes and coordination across multiple trades ensured a high standard of workmanship throughout.

The completed extension provides a resilient, efficient, and scalable industrial space, enabling increased production capacity while supporting the long-term operational needs of the facility.
