Oaktree Church Hall and Kitchen Refurbishment

Refurbishment and upgrade of key community facilities, delivering a contemporary and functional environment within an existing building.

The works focused on the renewal of Jubilee Hall and the associated kitchen, transforming these spaces to better support community use and day-to-day operations. The project included demolition of selected elements and the integration of new finishes, fixtures, and fittings to modernise the internal environment while maintaining the character of the existing structure.

A significant component of the project was the upgrade of building services, particularly the electrical installation throughout the halls. These improvements enhanced safety, reliability, and performance, ensuring the facilities met current standards and operational requirements.

The refurbishment also incorporated upgrades to amenities and back-of-house areas, including a detailed kitchen fitout designed to support increased functionality and efficiency. Works were delivered across multiple trades, requiring careful coordination to achieve a seamless integration of architectural, structural, and services elements.

Delivered under a fixed lump sum contract, the project required a disciplined approach to cost management, programme delivery, and quality control. Particular emphasis was placed on efficient construction sequencing to minimise disruption and achieve timely completion.

The completed works resulted in a refreshed and improved facility that better serves the needs of the church community, providing upgraded spaces that are practical, compliant, and fit for modern use.
