The project involved the design and delivery of a complex clinical layout accommodating a broad range of services, including CT, X-ray, ultrasound, mammography and DEXA, alongside dedicated pathology rooms. Each modality space was carefully planned to support specialised equipment, operational workflows, and patient privacy.
The layout was configured to create a clear and efficient journey through the clinic, with a central waiting area connecting imaging suites, treatment rooms, reporting areas, and staff zones. Back-of-house spaces were equally considered, incorporating reporting offices, write-up areas, storage, and staff amenities to support day-to-day clinical operation.
A key focus of the project was the coordination of services and spatial requirements to accommodate large-format imaging equipment, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and performance standards. Circulation widths, room adjacencies, and clearances were carefully resolved to meet both regulatory and operational requirements.
Accessibility and patient experience were prioritised throughout, with compliant circulation, an accessible bathroom, and thoughtful planning to support ease of movement and comfort across the facility.
The resulting environment is a streamlined, clinically robust imaging centre that supports a wide range of diagnostic services while providing a clear, efficient and welcoming experience for patients and staff.
