Warrandyte Community Church Renovation

Comprehensive upgrade and reconfiguration of church offices and meeting areas, transforming them into a functional and contemporary environment for its congregation and community use.

Works began with demolition of select internal walls, floor finishes, joinery, and fixtures to prepare the space for redevelopment. This initial stage also included provisions for hazardous materials assessment to ensure a safe and compliant construction process.

Construction works focused on structural and spatial improvements, including the installation of new lintels, structural supports, and framing to accommodate the revised layout. New internal walls, ceilings, and bulkheads were constructed, along with upgrades and repairs to existing ceiling systems. Insulation was installed throughout new walls and ceiling areas to improve thermal performance and acoustic comfort.

A key feature of the project was the introduction of skylights, enhancing natural light in key areas such as the lobby and communal spaces, plus new finishes applied across walls, ceilings, and floors. This included painting throughout, tiled and carpeted floor finishes, and waterproofing works in wet areas. Bathrooms and amenities were upgraded with new sanitary fixtures, fittings, and accessibility improvements to better serve all users.

Custom joinery was installed across multiple areas, including the kitchen, storage spaces, reception, and meeting rooms, providing practical and durable solutions tailored to the building’s functional needs.

Mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems were upgraded. This included new exhaust ventilation, plumbing modifications, modern lighting and power systems, and updated smoke alarms and emergency lighting.

Delivered as an integrated refurbishment, the project required coordination across multiple trades and careful integration with the existing building fabric. The completed works significantly improved the usability, comfort, and functionality of the facility, providing a refreshed and purpose-built space to support the needs of the church and its wider community.
