Western Hospital cafeteria and front entrance extension and upgrade

Staged refurbishment and extension of the main public entry at Western Private Hospital, creating a contemporary arrival experience while ensuring the hospital remained fully operational throughout construction.

The project included the construction of a new entry airlock, upgraded reception and waiting areas, café enhancements, façade modifications and associated building services upgrades. Working within a live healthcare environment, DNA Construction carefully staged the works to minimise disruption to hospital operations, visitors and staff. The scope included selective demolition, structural modifications, construction of new fire-rated walls, installation of automatic sliding doors, aluminium-framed glazing, external entry canopies, feature screening and accessibility upgrades. Internal works comprised bespoke reception and servery joinery, new floor, wall and ceiling finishes, lighting and electrical upgrades, and the integration of mechanical and fire services to suit the new layout.

The completed project delivered a modernised hospital entrance and café environment that improved functionality, accessibility and visitor experience while maintaining the operational requirements of a busy healthcare facility. The project demonstrates DNA Construction’s expertise in staged healthcare refurbishments, complex live-site construction and high-quality commercial fit-outs.
