At DNA Construction, we are committed to achieving excellent results for you, our customer.

We believe that the most important thing we can build is relationships.

We’re a Melbourne-based construction company, with wide-ranging experience in healthcare, commercial, church and aged-care projects. Started by Des Nixon and now owned and run by Chris Bato, Des’ son-in-law, DNA Construction in its current form has been operating in Melbourne since 1996.

At DNA construction we believe that the most important thing we can build is relationships. That’s why our business is thriving after 25 years. We believe that the people who make up DNA – our project managers, supervisors, carpenters, labourers, estimators, and support team – are our biggest asset. Working together, we’re committed to excellence in our work, safety on our sites and to building great relationships.

Our mission

Our mission is to deliver your expected outcomes and gain your trust through exceptional performance from every member of the construction team.

Our philosophy

At DNA Construction, we are committed to achieving excellent results for our customers. We pride ourselves on the principles of honesty, quality, efficiency and reliability.

Our approach

Team work

Your construction project is a well-orchestrated collaboration between diverse specialists. We will carefully coordinate every step of the process with you, as well as work with the architects, engineers, suppliers, Council and other team members as required. We can take sole responsibility for the overall management of the construction process, freeing you to concentrate on your business, or work with your nominated project team.
We understand that controlling costs is an important part of construction. One way we do this is through long-term relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, allowing us to obtain value solutions from them. Another is that we are experienced at delivering projects utilising concurrent phasing, which means we can overlap aspects of the design, engineering and construction processes to minimise the time on site and meaning your project is finished in less time.

Cost control

Early
involvement

By including DNA Construction at the beginning of your project, you benefit from our cost-saving expertise in areas such as site selection, local infrastructure, municipal codes, scheduling, building materials and system evaluation. Early involvement also allows us to propose cost-saving alternatives and options with project staging that can help your cash flow.
On each project, we place a high value on developing a good working relationship with our clients and their staff. While our scheduling and work timelines are a high priority, we also recognise the importance of respecting the normal routines of the facilities we are working in.

Customer
relationships

Partnership

Every project we complete is a partnership and so the most important thing we can build is positive relationships. Over the years, we have forged lasting and mutually rewarding partnerships with many clients, project managers, architects and engineers. Time and again, they come back to us for experienced consultation, quality work, responsive service and attention to detail. Our repeat business is proof of the quality of our work and our commitment to what we do.
